Hologic loses patent infringement suit

Bedford-based Hologic Inc. (Nasdaq: HOLX), which develops diagnostic, medical imaging and surgical products for women, announced late Wednesday that a jury has awarded $4 million to its opponent in a patent infringement lawsuit.
